गोजौनि sentence फोराव a, an, the, that, some, any, every, many फोरा noun फोरनि सिगाङाव ज ‘नानै मानसि, जिब एबा मुवाफोरनि अनजिमा, बिबां, बाइदिफोरखौ थांखिनानै दिनथिदों। बेनिखायनो माबा थांखिनाय मुवाखौ खिनथानानै होनायखाय बिसोरखौ Determiners (थांखि सोदोब) बुंनाय जायो।

गोसोआव लाखि Determiners फोरखौ Adjective होनना बुंनो हाया। मानोना बिसोरनि खायसेया Adjective, खायसेया pronoun आरो खायसेया Adjective आरो Pronoun मोननैबो रोखोमै बाहाय जायो । जैरै—–

You have no money (Adjective) 

This house is taller than that one. (Adjective)

This is better than that (pronoun)

इंराजियाव Determiners फोरा गोबां दं । बिसोरनि गेजेराव बाहाय जाफ्लेबाय थानाय Determiners फोरा, जाबाय—

a, an, the, this, these, that, those, every, each, another, one, two, three, four, much, many, little, few, some, any, several, all, no, my, our, his, her, theirs, its, a lot of, lots of, a good deal of बायदि बायदि। बाहायथिखौ नायनानै Determiners फोरखौ गाहायाव होनाय बायदि बाहागो खालामनो हागौ—-

(b) Article like Determiners_____ This, that, these, those etc.

(c) Quantitative_____ few, little, much, many, some, any

(d) Cardinals_____ one, two, three. 

(e) Ordinals_____ first, second, third, fourth etc.

(g) Others_____ each, every, no, not any etc.

Much आरो Many

Much आरो many मोननैनिबो ओंथिया “गोबां”। नाथाय बिसोरनि बाहायनायाव फाराग दं। Much आ बिबां दिनथिग्रा आरो बेखौ Uncountable noun नि लोगोआव बाहायनाय जायो l Many आ अनजिमा दिनथिग्रा आरो बेखौ Countable noun नि लोगोआव बाहायनाय जायो। जेरै—-

There is much sugar in the jug.

He spent much money.

Much of the work has been done.

There is not much milk in the glass.

(Sugar, money, work, milk सोदोबफोरा uncountable noun, थामहिनबा साननो हायै मुंमा। बेनिखायनो बिसोरनि सिगाङाव much जदों।)

There are many students in our class. 

She has not many books.

Many pilgrims visit the Kamakhya temple. 

Many men died of malaria.

(students, books, pilgrims, men बाईदि सोदोबफोरा countable noun थामहिनबा साननो हानाय मुंमा। बेनिखायनो बिसोरनि सिगाङाव many बाहायनाय जादों। many नि उनाव ज ‘नाय noun आ जेब्लाबो plural number आव थायो।)

Many नि बदलै a large number of, a great number of, a huge number of, a lot of, lots of, heaps of बाहायनो हायो।

Much नि बदलै a good deal of, a large quantity of, a lot of, lots of, plenty of बाइदिफोरखौ बाहायनो हायो। जेरै––

A large number of students passed the examination. 

He has collected a great number of books for his library.

He bought a lot of pencils in the market.

Ramu did a great deal of work.

There is plenty of water in the well. 

He spent a lot of money.

गोसोआव लाखिदि, a lot of, lots of, plenty of बाइदिफोरखौ uncountable noun आरो plural countable noun मोननैजोंबो बाहायनो हायो। जेरै––

He bought a lot of sugar. (एबा lots of sugar) 

He bought a lot of books. (एबा lots of books)

We have plenty of time in hand.

We have plenty of mangoes to give them. 

Many आरो Much मोननैनिबो Comparative आरो Superlative degree आ फारियै More आरो Most जायो। जेरै––

Many boys––– More boys––– Most boys 

Much of the land––– More of the land––– Most of the land.

Many आरो Much खौ too, so आरो as नि उनाव बाहायनो हागौ।

There are too many cars. 

Don’t take too much tea.

I have got so much work.

I have not got as much money as yours.

Some आरो Any

Some आरो Any नि ओंथिया जाबाय इसे, बाङाय, खायसे, नावमान बाइदि बाइदि। थामहिनबा बिसोर थि नङै बिसान एबा बिबां फोरमायो। Some आरो any खौ countable noun plural number आरो uncountable noun फोरजोंबो बाहायनाय जायो। (Some and any means ‘a certain number or amount. They are used with countable noun plural number and uncountable nouns.)

सरासनस्रायै Some खौ Affirmative sentence आव आरो any खौ negative आरो Interrogative sentence फोराव बाहायनाय जायो। जेरै––

नाथाय, माब्लाबा गोजौनि खानथियाव सोलायनाय फैयो। थामहिनबा some खौ Negative आरो Interrogative Sentence आवबो बाहायनो हायो आरो any खौ affirmative sentence आवबो बाहाय जायो। जेरै–––

Some people do not like tea. 

Would you like some coffee?

Could you post some letters for me?

Any pen will do.

You can catch any bus.

Come and see me any time you want. 

गोसोआव लाखिदि negative sentence आव any नि सिगाङाव not एबा n’t सो जयो, no माब्लाबाबो जआ। जैरै–––

There is not any sugar in the jug. 

(There is no any sugar in the jug जाया)

N.B. : Some आरो any दाजाबनाय सोदोब जेरै– Somebody, somewhere, something, somehow, anybody, anywhere, anything, anyone, anyhow सोदोबफोरनि बाहायनायाबो एखे रोखोमनि जायो।

Examples :

He knows something about it. 

He does not know anything about it.

Does he know anything about it? 

Someone has split water everywhere.

Let us go out somewhere

Each आरो every

Each आरो every मोननैनिबो ओंथिया गोरोबफ्रामो। बिसोर साफ्रोम, मोनफ्रोम बाइदि ओंथि फोरमायो। नाथाय बिसोरनि बाहायथियाव इसे फाराग दं ।

(i) Each खौ मोननै (सानै) एबा बेनिख्रुइ गोबांनि गेजेराव मोनफ्रोम (साफ्रोम) ओंथि फोरमायनो बाहायनाय जायो आरो बेयो Pronoun आरो Adjective मोननैबो रोखोमै बाहाय जायो। जेरै––

Each knows what to do. (pronoun).

Each man knows what to do (Adjective)

(ii) Every खौ मोननैनिख्रुइ एबा सानैनिख्रुइ बांसिननि गेजेराव मोनफ्रोम एबा साफ्रोम ओंथि फोरमायनो बाहायनाय जायो आरो बेयो Adjective महरै बाहाय जायो। जेरै––

Every man has a weapon.

Every student got a prize. 

गोसोहोदि Each आरो every मोननैबो singular countable नि लोगो आवसो बाहाय जायो।

each of …. आरो every one of …. बो बाहायनो हायो। नाथाय बिसोरजों plural noun बाहायनाय जायो।

Each of the two boys has got a prize. 

Everyone of them is meritorious.

Read each of these sentences carefully. 

I have read every one of those books.

Each of them is a different colour. 

I have read every one of them.

Each खौ Sentence नि गेजेराव एबा जोबनायावबो बाहायनो हागौ।

The students were each given a book 

(= Each student was given a book)

These oranges cost ₹2/- each. 

गोसोआव लाखि : Everyone आरो every one आव फाराग दं। Everyone आ जाबाय मोनसेल’ सोदोब। आरो मानसिफोरनि बिथिङावल’ बाहायनाय जायो। every one आ जाबाय मोननै सोदोब। आरो बेखौ मानसि एबा मुवा मोननैनिबो बिथिङाव बाहायनो हायो।

Everyone enjoyed the party (=Everybody) 

He is invited to lots of parties and he goes to everyone (to every party)

I know every one of them.

Each आरो Every नि लोगोआव article बाहायनाय जाया। जेरै––– 

Each student has got a prize. (The each student जाया) 

Every girl had a ribbon (The every girl जाया)

Little आरो Few

Little आ बिबां (quantity) आरो Few आ अनजिमा (number) फोरमायो। Uncountable noun नि सिगाङाव little आरो countable noun नि सिगाङाव few बाहायनाय जायो। जेरै–––

He has little money.

She has few friends here. 

Little आरो Few खौ little, a little, the little आरो few, a few आरो the few बायदि रोखोमै बाहायनो हायो।

Little, a little, the little

There is little water in the glass (गिलासाव दैया प्राय गैया ।)

There is a little water in the glass (गिलासाव दैया इसे दं ।)

Give the little water in the glass to the baby.

(गिलासाव जा इसे गाइखेर दं खुदियानो हो) 

गोजौनि Sentence फोरखौ नाय। little आ प्राय गैया (almost nothing) खौ बुजायदों। a little आ इसे थानाय आरो the little आ जा इसे दं गासिखौबो बुजायदों।

There was little time for consultation. (सावरायनायनि थाखाय समा प्राय गैयामोन) 

I know a little about it. 

(आं बेनि सोमोनदै इसे मिथिगौ ।)

He spent the little money he had. 

(बियो जा इसे रां दंमोन गासैखौबो बाहायजोबदोंमोन)

Few, a few, the few

Few a few, the few नि बाहायनायाबो little, a little आरो the little नि बाहायनाय बायदिनो आरो countable noun नि सिगाङाव बाहायनाय जायो ।

few आ प्राय गैया (almost nothing), a few आ इसे थानाय आरो the few आ जा इसे दं गासैखौबो बुजायो ।

There are few mangoes on the tree 

= दंफांआव थाइजौफोरा प्राय गैया।

There are a few mangoes on the tree. 

= दंफांआव थाइजौफोरा थाइनैसो (इसे) दं । 

Give the few mangoes in the basket to the boys 

= खिरखायाव जा इसे थाइनैसो (इसे) थाइजौ दं गथ ‘फोरनो हो।

Either आरो Neither

मोननैनि एबा सानैनि गेजेराव जायखिजाया मोनसे एबा सासे बुजायनो either बाहायनाय जायो। जेरै :

Either book will do

(गांनैनि गेजेराव जायखिजाया गांसे विजाबब्लानो जागोन)

You can choose either party

(जायखिजाया मोनसे हानजाखौ नों सायखनो हागौ)

मोननैनि गेजेराव मोनसेबो नङा बुजायनो neither खौ बाहायनाय जायो। जेरै––

Neither pen is good

(गंनैनि गेजेराव गंसेबो रेबगांआ मोजां नङा)

Neither party won the game

(मोननैनि गेजेराव मोनसेबो हानजाया गेलेनायाव देरहायाखिसै)

गाहाइनि A आरो B नि गेजेराव रायज्लायनायखौ नायः 

A   :  Do you want tea or coffee?

B   : Either, I don’t mind.

A   :  Is your friend British or American? 

B   :  Neither, She’s Australian.

Either आरो Neither नि लोगोआव Singular Countable Noun बाहायनाय जायो ।

Either of the आरो Neither of the बो बाहायनो हायो। अब्लानिया बिसोरनि उनाव Plural Countable Number बाहायनाय जायो। जेरै–––

Either of the restaurants is good.

Neither of the boys knew about it. 

Can either of you speak English?

I asked two people the way to the station but neither of them knew.

Neither of the children wants to go to bed. Either आरो Neither नि लोगोआव फारियै Or एबा Nor बाहायोब्ला बिसोरखौ correlative बुंनाय जायो ।

No, Not, Not any, None

गासैखौबो Negative ओंथियाव बाहायनाय जायो ।

No खौ इसेबो गैया एबा नङा ओंथियाव बाहायनाय जायो आरो बेखौ Noun नि सिगाङाव फज ‘नाय जायो। जेरै–––

I have no money

He has no friend.

There is no student in the class. 

No नि सोलाय not a एबा not any बाहायनो हायो। जरै–––

I have not any money.

He has not a friend.

There is not any student in the class

एबा

There is not a student in the class.

None खौ of जों बाहायफानाय जायोजेरै––

None of my friends will be at the party (none of friends जाया)

None of them are in the fashion show now.

None of this money is mine (none of money जाया) No one नि सोलाय none बाहायनो हायो। जेरै––

No one is interested in philosophy.

= None is interested in philosophy.

None खौ adjective एबा adverb नि सिगाङाव बाहायनाय जायो। जेरै––

His condition is none too good.

They were none the worse for our experience.
