Something About On Bodo medium Education System In Assam:
A Notification stated that the Governor of Assam has accorded necessary approval to the decision, which will come into force with immediate effect, “in the academic interest of students belonging to the Bodo community and other students inclined to study in Bodo medium”.

Bodo medium was introduced at Middle English (ME) schools in 1968 and introduced as a Major Indian Language (MIL) subject under Gauhati University in 1977. The Bodo language was included in the 8th Schedule of the Constitution in December, 2003. The Assam Higher Secondary Education Council (AHSEC) recognized Bodo language as an advanced language in 2006.

In a significant decision taken by the Assam Government during their weekly cabinet meeting held on September 6, the cabinet decided to provincialise 10 colleges in the Bodoland Territorial region and additionally introduce the Bodo medium in all Higher Secondary Schools across the state.
